Karon Karter is the author of eight health and fitness books. Her most recent book, The Six-Week Bikini Countdown: Tone your Butt, Abs, and Thighs Fast Combining Pilates with Select Strength and Cardio Interval Training Workouts is now available in bookstores nationwide. Her other publications include Balance Training: Stability Workouts for Core Strength

Karon Karter is the host of her own show, “Pilates From the Inside Out,” on the Veria Network, which now airs nationally on Dish Network. Ms. Karter has also been featured in major newspapers in the country such as The New York Times, The Miami Herald, The Seattle Times, The Dallas Morning News (where she is also a special contributor for health and fitness articles) and D-Magazine.
Her books have been publicized in national magazine such as The National Enquire, The Bottom Line, PilatesStyle, Health, and Self. In addition, she has made several appearances on local morning news shows such as Good Morning Texas, Good Day Texas and Fox News.
She was Self magazine’s core strength expert for their Self Challenge 2004 where her book, The Core Strength Workout, was featured. She was guest author of Visions Women’s Expo (15th Anniversary), where she also put on a Pilates demonstration to hundreds of women. Barnes and Noble featured her books and selected her as the “Author of the Month” in January 2005.
Ms. Karter has fifteen years experience in the fitness and health industry. She interned and then worked for Dr. Kenneth Cooper’s Institute for Aerobic Research where she supervised new corporate health programs such as Dow Chemical's "Up with Life" and Texas Instruments' "Life Track” program. She has several certifications including Physical Fitness Specialist Course and The Group
Leadership Course from the Aerobics Institute; Resist-a-Ball training; Ashtanga (yoga) training with Manju Jois; Pilates certification from the classically (New York) trained Glenn Studio; and Beryl Bender Birch Ashtanga certification. Currently, she teaches Pilates and has influenced the fitness lives of thousands of students.
